Things are really picking up steam. We’ve had a record number of children being sponsored for any month to date. Our brand new preschool officially opened and we launched our first 2015 workshop to teach children about sexual health.

We do however need ongoing support to continue our work. We need more sponsors for our waiting list of children, as well as support for our other programs.

I can’t thank our supporters enough for your kindness. Together, we are changing the course of children’s lives for the better…whether it’s through early stage education, HIV workshops, sponsorships or our gardens. Thank you.

Warmest regards,

Linda, John, Joyce, Eka & the BCP team

10 Years and What a Difference!

We don’t just transform lives, we transform schools! This is Wanagiri Kindergarten 10 years ago and today. An amazing change that has also changed the lives of children. We continue to support Wanigiri Kindergarten and are so proud.

2015 HIV Workshops Are Go

More Sponsors Needed

We have a huge waiting list of children who cannot currently afford to access school. Fees such as tax, equipment, materials and uniforms are all barriers. With sponsorship, you can change a child’s life prospects forever. You can see the children awaiting sponsorship in our regularly updated Facebook album.

Gamelan Style!

We are immensely proud of brother and sister Emas and Wayan, who have won awards for their Gamelan musical prowess. They have dedicated their young lives to becoming professional Gamelan musicians following the death of their father, who taught them from a young age. Read about Emas’ and Wayan’s unique skill

Asti is Sponsored!

More wonderful news! Ni Putu Asti Winarsih, last month’s ‘child of the month’ has been sponsored! Thank you Mark Bowden for sponsoring Asti, and all other sponsors this month – you’ve helped to change lives! Asti’s story

Thank You Steve!

Thank you to the wonderful Steve, who has been volunteering with BCP for the past few weeks. Steve has done an incredible job in helping grow our gardens and has set up a new program for the local children to learn how to grow, harvest and use traditional Balinese herbs and plants. Sponsors Success

We are so grateful to the sponsors who stepped up to help us to send children who can’t afford the high costs to access school. It was an overwhelming response and this month we’ve been able to sponsor 6 new children! Sofianti is just one whose wish came true!

Grand Opening of new Pre-K

After moving from place to place over 10 years, we finally opened our dedicated new school in Penestanan, Ubud. We had a great celebration to officially open the school and library.

Did You Know?

It is only thanks to the generosity of our supporters that we can run our programs in school sponsorship, pre school education, herbal teaching gardens and HIV, AIDS & Sex education? Thank you to all our friends who have made this happen.

Child of the Month: Komang Sukayasa

Young Komang is 11 years old and has had to stop school because his mother cannot afford it on her wage as a rice field worker. Komang’s sister is already sponsored and we are hoping to give his hard working mother more good news. If you can sponsor Komang please go here or email info@balichildrensproject.com
