Fantastic news as another 21 would-be drop outs are staying in school, thanks to new sponsorships in June.

The sponsorships come at a crucial time of year as students look to moving up a grade. As many students move into junior and senior high, costs kick in. It’s a complicated system, with a range of different types of schools. It means that children from poorer families cannot pay the fees and either get in huge debt or drop out completely.

With a range of costs involved in accessing school, it’s the sad truth that 1 in 5 students will drop out before finishing high school. However, this is not the case for the 21 students who were sponsored for school in June.

After being published on our Sponsorship Waiting List, the 21 students were kindly sponsored by Barry, Hester, Leah, Daniel, Emir, Summer & Tamara, Lillian, Heather & Adam, Karen, Polina, Viktoria & Micheal, Thomas, David, Lauren, Alexandra and David.
