88 Mattresses Delivered to Children in Need

Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, the 2024 Holiday Mattress Appeal has officially concluded with all 88 mattresses now delivered to children in need across Bali.

The campaign exceeded expectations, raising a total of $12,320—enough to provide high-quality mattresses and bedding sets to 88 children living in poverty. These children, many of whom had been sleeping on hard floors with just a thin sheet, now have a warm, comfortable place to rest each night.

Impact of Mattresses

Each mattress represents more than just a better night’s sleep. For many families, a mattress is a luxury they simply cannot afford. This appeal has helped to ease that burden and bring genuine joy to homes across Bali.

Deliveries were carried out by our team, led by Sponsorship Manager Anastasi Rahayu, and it was all thanks to kind donors, many of whom are already sponsors of children for schooling.

Anas and the Sponsorship Team – Sulatri, Arik and Gungde and our local co-ordinators -worked together to ensure each mattress reached the children who needed them most. The excitement and happiness from the children and their families was heartwarming to witness.

“Previously, these students had only very basic sleeping conditions – normally a thin matt or makeshift bedframes” Anas explained. “They had never slept on a comfortable bed in their whole lives.”

Donor Reports

As with all donations, after delivery, our local co-ordinators took thank you photographs.

All donors to the appeal will have been sent a photo folder showing exactly who was supported with your donation.

Bali Children’s Project is proud to provide full transparency to our donors and all appeal supporters will have now received a thank you email from our team, with the photos.
