Backpack Appeal Success!

Using the style and structure of your previous appeal, I’ve drafted an update article that celebrates the success of the drive while keeping the door open for year-round support.

Our 2025 School Supply Backpacks Appeal is now complete, and we are overwhelmed by the generosity of our donors. A huge thank you to the kind 57 donors who supported this drive to provide children in need with the tools they need to succeed.

While this specific appeal has reached its goal, backpack donations are still accepted all year round as new students enter our program.

The Impact of Your Support

What Happens Next?

Our team is now busy moving into the delivery phase, now that we can buy in bulk (which will allow us to access a few more extra packs). Our local sponsorship coordinators are currently delivering the packages directly to students across Bali throughout the next month.

As each delivery is made, our coordinators take a “thank you photo” and a video of the student who has been supported, specifically thanking you—their donor.

Once the deliveries are complete, these photos and videos will be organized and emailed directly to you so you can see exactly how you’ve helped.

Why These Backpacks Matter

In Bali, while elementary school is free, the cost of uniforms, shoes, and stationery falls on the parents. For families living in poverty, these costs are often insurmountable, forcing children to attend school in tattered clothes or stay home entirely.

Providing a fully equipped backpack ($100 USD) creates an instant change in these children. It gives them more than just the physical items; it provides a huge psychological boost, giving them the confidence and determination to go to school with a smile.

Each $100 Backpack Includes:

  • 2 School Uniforms (Regular and Scouts)

  • 2 Pairs of Black School Shoes

  • A Quality School Backpack

  • Stationery & Books (Pens, pencils, and pencil case)

Note: This program is aimed at grades 1-5. For children in grades 6-12, costs rise significantly, which is why we transition those students into monthly student sponsorships.
