Our latest community donor project aims to renovate the underserved library in Gitgit Elementary School. Your donation will help to reach our fundraising goal.
Can you help us reach our target of 8,500 USD to renovate Gitgit Library?
Gitgit is a remote village nestled in the Buleleng region of North Bali. Like many rural communities in the area, most families rely on small-scale farming or local micro businesses to make ends meet. Opportunities are limited, and resources for education are often stretched thin.
At the heart of the local school is a library—a place that should inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for reading. But right now, the library is in completely unused, despite the best efforts of the teachers.
The building is not an interesting place for children. Most books date back over 30 years, consisting mainly of black-and-white text books. There is not a single colourful story book available.
Our goal is to raise $8,500 USD to fully renovate the library, turning it into a bright, inspiring learning center where children can dream big, read widely, and explore the world through books. As with our other projects, we’ll include computer stations too, so students can learn electronically.
