Twelve Students Newly Sponsored for January and February

In January and February, we were able to bring the good news to twelve children, that their schooling has been sponsored! It means they no longer have to worry about dropping out.

In Bali, high school costs money. Families who can’t afford the costs either get in debt, take loans they can’t afford to pay back or simply have their children drop out of school.

Amongst rising inflation, our sponsorship program has been hit hard, with more sponsors dropping out due to financial difficulties amid a slow down in new donations too.

January’s new sponsors: Ethan, Rita Sue, Areta, TJ, Sherrie, Richard, Ruben & Oma and Liz.

February’s new sponsors: Liz, Han, Richard and Kelsey.

We also want to thank all continuing sponsors for keeping up their support through to graduation.

Our Sponsorship Waiting List is currently full of children who are at risk of dropping out of school – many of whom were sponsored but sadly no longer have a sponsor. We do not want to tell them their sponsorship is cancelled, so are our very limited ‘core’ funds are currently keeping them in school.
