Fourteen Children Sponsored in July
July broke our 2018 record for the number of children sponsored for school – a huge 14 children who would have dropped out now have school futures.
It’s all thanks to July’s 13 new sponsors, who kindly committed to giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds a future.
Sponsorship is so important because it gives children who are about to quit school a way to stay. With costs mounting as children go through the school system, the poorest children face dim futures of manual laborers – continuing a cycle of poverty within their family.
Our sponsorship break thiscycle and give these children new prospects for the future. They are able to graduate and with their certificate, move on to further education of onto the career ladder.
According to government reports, approximately 1 in 5 students in Bali do not finish school. Our sponsorships find these 1 in 5 and give help to provide them with all they need to stay in school, under the watchful eyes of our area co-ordinators.
