Carrollton School Funds a Kindergarten in Bali
Bali Children’s Project are proud to present another kindergarten renovation in Bali.
The kind students at the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart got together to raise funds to renovate Belega Kindergarten.
Despite having a good building, the school lacked funding for good quality equipment, furniture and supplies.
That has all changed thanks to Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart.
In Their Words
Asked for a short statement, the students replied;
Sisters supporting Bali is a club based within Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, an all girls catholic school in Miami FL, that focuses on helping the children in the Bali community receive education and continue to learn in a safe environment.
Our goal is to continue to help and expand the Balis Children Project to as many children as possible and continue to connect their mission with our mission of helping other and giving back to a community.
My name is Victoria Mestre Cisneros and I am the President of Sisters Supporting Bali at our school. I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela and I was inspired to give back to the Bali community because of my personal experience watching the children in my own society lack education and opportunity. This made me want to take initiative and help another community learn and grow.
My name is Annabella Garcia and I am Vice President of Sisters Supporting Bali at Carrollton. As Victoria and I were thinking of starting a club at our school we both knew exactly what we wanted our club to be about. Helping children escape poverty through education, which is exactly what the Bali Children’s Project stands for. Victoria and I have grown up fortunate enough to receive an amazing education and we want all kids around the world to feel the same way.
We learned to achieve this through not only fund raising but a more entrepreneurial and creative way! We created colorful and fun bracelets that are sold within our community and all benefits are given to the Bali Children’s Project! We love creating for a bigger meaning and purpose, for the children!
