Kindergarten Graduations in Bali

As the academic year comes to a close, the island of Bali is abuzz with pride and excitement as kindergarteners across the region prepare to graduate. These young learners, equipped with newfound knowledge and skills, are ready to take their next step towards elementary school.

The graduation ceremonies not only mark a significant milestone in their lives but also highlight the positive impact of quality early education in Bali.

Bali Children’s Project Kindergarten: A Gold Standard in Early Education

With our first ever Kindergarten opening in Ubud over 10 years ago, the Bali Children’s Project Kindergarten is a great example. Opened thanks to the fundraising efforts of supporter Jenn Plessner, the kindergarten has become our gold standard in Bali. Managed by the Bali Children’s Project, the kindergarten is going from strength to strength.

In June, 21 students celebrated their full graduation, symbolizing their successful transition to elementary school. Additionally, 33 playgroup students will be joining the kindergarten class next year.

Students at the school were presented with their graduation certificates, and choreographed Balinese dances to mark the occasion.

Supporting Balinese Communities: A Collaborative Effort

While the Bali Children’s Project Kindergarten is a shining example of quality education, it is not the only one making a difference.

Meanwhile, other kindergartens that have been renovated or built through out support (but are owned and managed by Balinese communities) also prepare for graduation too.

Focusing on providing educational facilities to rural communities, we work with existing schools to improve their educational abilities for young learners.

Impact on Communities: Graduates and Record Attendances

The impact of the 49 kindergartens supported by the Bali Children’s Project extends far beyond graduation ceremonies. These educational institutions have become a catalyst for positive change within their communities.

With each passing year, the number of graduates continues to grow, reflecting the success of the kindergarten support program. Moreover, these kindergartens have witnessed a significant rise in attendance, providing thousands of children in rural communities with an opportunity for a brighter future.

Early Education: A Critical Phase of Development

The importance of early education cannot be overstated. It lays the foundation for a child’s overall development, fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

By investing in quality kindergarten programs, Bali Children’s Project and our supporters are helping us to equip its youngest learners with the necessary tools and skills for future success.

As kindergarteners in Bali proudly complete this first step in their educational journey, we celebrate the achievements of these young learners and recognize the profound impact of quality early education.

From the Bali Children’s Project Kindergarten to the kindergartens supported within Balinese communities, these facilities are paving the way for a brighter future for children across the region.

You can help us to ensure children in Bali have access to quality early education. With many kindergartens in need of renovation support, we rely on donors to continue delivering great new facilities for communities.

Fund a School

Many kindergartens in Bali lack good supplies, facilities and more. We aim to renovate these kindergartens and transform them into quality learning spaces for children. But we can only do it with help from supporters like you.
