11th March 2016.

Last week supporter Linda dropped by to give bags full of donations for children, along with a visit to her sponsored, Putu.

After searching for organisations in Bali to help, Linda – who is from the UK, but lives in the USA – stumbled upon Bali Children’s Project.

Donations Deliveries

Having already arranged a trip to Bali, Linda saw our wishlist and decided to raise funds to buy toys, games and educational equipment. Linda’s friends got together and raise $100s of dollars for donations.

Sponsoring Putu

Linda wasn’t through then though. When she dropped by to hand over the donations, she went one step further and sponsored Putu Mas Prestaya. Putu had been on our waiting list for quite some time

linda2Linda has her own reasons for wanting to help, having been through some tough circumstances and a background of poverty herself. She pulled through and has now been kind enough to pass on her good fortune to Putu and other children benefiting from the donations.

In Linda’s own words…

‘I knew when I read the children’s profiles that I wanted to help. I posted on linda5Facebook what I planned to do, and my friends replied that they wanted to help.

The shopping trip at Delta supermarket was quite the experience all the store girls helped me load up 5 shopping carts with items. I don’t think they had seen anyone buy so much stuff in one go… it made them giggle.’
Bali is a beautiful country, [but] my fondest memory will be with the good I achieved through the great work of the Bali Children’s Project in helping Putu and her family.’
