25th September 2015.

We had a great time with Bali Children’s Project supporter Michelle, who accompanied us on a tour of north Bali, donating food packages to families in need and sponsored children.

When Bali Children’s Project supporter Michelle got in touch she said ‘what can I do to help?’ to which the answer was ‘lots of things!’.
michelleMichelle thought up a great way to give support the personal touch – by donating bundles of food packages to families of sponsored children. Michelle was keen to help in an area that doesn’t normally receive support; and to families that genuinely needed a welcome boost.

Buleleng is a region in the north of Bali, off the beaten track of tourism. There is not a huge tourist industry and many children in the area struggle to finish high school. We sponsor children all around Bali, including Buleleng, to help keep these children in school.

Each package contained rice, sugar, noodle, tea, bathing soap, toothbrush, color pencil, soya sauce, tomato sauce, washing powder and biscuits.

Michelle is setting a wonderful example for her children Angelique (7) and Charlyze (2), helping to show them to care for the world and people around them.

Michelle made the donations on behalf of friends Paula, Bianca, sherry and Emma from the Amed family group.

It was a wonderful surprise for the families, as the packages included gifts for both adults and children. There were plenty of smiles and words of thanks exchanged. We thank Michelle for her kindness.

You can help children and families in need too! Feel free to contact us or see our Children’s Wishlist for some of our priority items. We invite donors to join us while delivering items or you can also drop them off at our Ubud Visitor Centre.buleleng
