Six Children Sponsored in June

Bali Children’s Project were able to sponsor a further six children for school in June, thanks to new sponsorships for children from our Sponsorship Waiting List.

The sponsorships come at a crucial time – as the school year changes and a new year starts in July, children and their families are expected to keep up with school fees. If they can’t pay, children either drop out of school or families go into huge debt, taking loans or promising to pay schools back.

With a range of costs involved in accessing school, as well as extra curricular learning, many children in Bali are faced with a dim future.

However, thanks to new sponsorships from Robert, Roger and Barb, Bina, Lucas and AnnaMaree, that dim future is now a bright one for six more children.

Working on giving children access to school doesn’t stop though. Bali Children’s Project are constantly adding children who are desperate for help in order to finish high school. According to government reports, approximately 1 in 5 students in Bali do not finish school.

Our sponsorships find these 1 in 5 and give help to provide them with all they need to stay in school, under the watchful eyes of our area co-ordinators.

The start of the school year is one of the best times to become a sponsor. Children go from little hope and mounting debt, to being given a new drive in the knowledge that somebody believes in them.

Sponsorships cover all associated costs for school and help children who would normally drop out to stay in school and graduate.
