UPDATE 27/02/15: SOFIANTI HAS BEEN SPONSORED! THANK YOU!

Sofianti Agustini, age 8 and in third grade, works in a laundry after school to help support the family.

Her father was paralyzed from the waist down 8 years ago after falling from a coconut tree, and her mother must stay with him and attend to his needs, as well as care for his aging mother. They live in a small boarding house with 2 bedrooms. Please help by sponsoring Sofianti.

The kitchen and toilet, primitive at best, are in another building. There is no other family to help.

Her older brother lives in North Bali and stays at a Foundation so he can afford to go to school.

When Sofianti finishes her work, she stays at the laundry to do her homework. The living conditions and poverty level were so bad here that BCP gave money to buy basic school supplies that same day, in hopes that a sponsor would answer this need quickly. We paid for a backpack, new shoes, notebooks, pencils, and uniforms – essential school supplies that this sweet young girl will continue to need.

Please get in touch if you can help sponsor Sofianti. You will get updates, letters and pictures of Sofianti’s school progress. BCP will ensure your sponsorship goes to supporting Sofianti’s costs for school.
