As coronavirus continues to destroy incomes in Bali, we were able to bring good news for ten students who were sponsored for school in the month of September.

Although it may seem like schools are closed, many are open for limited capacity (in ‘green zones’) and others are having students come in to collect and submit their school work. Online learning is also taking place in many schools, with students attending classes over their smartphones.

Fees have not changed though, and students are still required to pay the same term fees as they were paying before. If they don’t pay, they they rack up debt or drop out of school.

Thanks to new sponsorships created in September, ten more students now have their school futures secured. Our thanks to September’s sponsors of Niso, Roger & Barbara, Barry, Cecile, Grace, Juliana, Indroneel, Lisiana and Terry.

Education has been hit hard since the pandemic. It’s even more important than ever to help children stay in school as many families are starting to consider their options, with even more children risking dropping out.

It is a desperate time in Bali and we are so grateful to all sponsors and supporters who are helping families through the pandemic, as well as helping them escape poverty through education.

You can see the Sponsorship Waiting List here.

You can become a sponsor and help change the course of a child’s life in Bali.

Sponsorships cover all associated costs for school and help children who would normally drop out to stay in school and graduate.
