Three Balinese children desperately seeking school help were sponsored in May thanks to new sponsors Yenny and Mark.
It was with great delight that we were able to deliver further good news to three children from our Sponsorship Waiting List in May.
Thanks to a double sponsorship from Yenny, who sponsored I Nengah Widiana and Ni Putu Belina Listyas Dewi. Fourteen year old I Nengah Widiana dreams of becoming a teacher and now has that chance. Twelve year old Ni Putu Belina Listyas Dewi, was facing no education as she had been abandoned by her single father years ago. Her elderly grandparents had no hope of paying school fees.
Supporter Mark also came though for Toni, who along with his brother have set a determined goal of becoming mechanics – which they know will bring a steady income for their grandma. Toni and brother Tona, like Belina, were left to their grandma to provide for them when both parents left.
It’s upsetting to hear so many stories from children that are most likely to drop out of school, due to their family circumstances and poverty. However it is so much more positive to know that people like Yenny, Mark and all Bali Children’s Project sponsors can be there in their time of need.
