It’s almost ready!
Bali Children’s Project is just about to complete yet another learning centre in Bali. This time, the learning centre is at Perean and has a special story behind it.
Leonore’s Learning Centre
Bali Children’s Project is honoured to be able to deliver another learning centre in memorial of Leonore G. Calaustro. It’s all thanks to the fundraising efforts of Leonore’s friends and family.
After opening the first Leonore G. Calaustro Learning Centre in February 2018, we are delighted to be able to deliver another in the village of Perean.
Nearly Complete
As you can see, there has been great progress in turning the old, broken down teacher’s building into a useful space.
Renovating the old building, we’re able to transform an unusable building into a learning centre, full of books, supplies, computers and more.
The local school at Perean did not have a library at all before. Despite the community’s best efforts to implement reading, the learning spaces were just not good enough quality.
Celebrations on the Way
After 6 weeks of construction work, we now just have the final elements to put in place – books, furniture and of course a stunning mural to bring the space to life.
To celebrate, we will be opening the learning centre together with Leonore’s friends and family in October. Watch our for our upcoming video to show the difference the new facility will make to children in Perean.
