54 Backpacks so Far

Supporters from all over the world are banding together to give children from poor families the start they need for school. Bali Children’s Project have appealled to supporters to help provide one hundred children with fully equipped school start packs.

With an incredible response from businesses, individuals and other supporters, the appeal has reached past the half way point.

Why Backpacks?

Although elementary school does not come with entry fees, there are still costs. Families are expected to pay for several uniforms, all books and supplies, shoes, backpacks, stationary and more.

For children from the poorest families, what should be an exciting start to a new school year is an apprehensive time. Without the supplies they need, many children end up going to school with holes in their bags and shoes.

Appeal Progress

The appeal aims to help children from these poor families by giving them fully supplied backpacks, bursting with everything they need for the school year.

Showing children that somebody believes in them is a great start to inspiring them to learn.

At the time of writing, donors have helped to raise fifty-four backpacks out of our target of one hundred. With school starting again in July, there is still another month before the appeal closes.

How to Help

Bali Children’s Project is inviting supporters to come together to help us raise funds for the remaining backpacks. Once you have supported the appeal, you will receive photographs of the child you have helped enter school as well as a thank you.
